Contrasting images from a spring day
I couldn’t help but take my camera with me when I walked the dog after work this afternoon. The sky was full of dull white and randomly spaced clouds. I figured I might catch one of those dramatic skylines like you see in National Geographic magazine.
I didn’t.
LOL
But I did capture two images that upon second thought made me realize how interesting the natural world can be simply in the way it presents contrasting scenes. In this case on the same day and within eyesight of each other.
For the gadget geeks among you, these were both taken with my Nikon D50 using the fabulous Nikkor 28-105mm 3.5-4.5D. It’s too bad they no longer make this lens. Even with the crop factor on the D50 this is still a nice all-around lens that’s sharp for its class and long enough to just grab the odd tele shot. It has now replaced my 28-70 that I sold to a friend a few weeks ago. And I don’t miss that old lens one bit. ![]()
